Peak viewers = the most people watching a channel at one moment while it streamed chess, with the date it happened (UTC). Twitch channels under 1,000 followers are left out of the peak ranking — a big peak with almost no followers is nearly always view-botting. Followers are the current count.

What does peak viewers mean for a streamer?
The highest number of people watching the channel at one moment while it streamed chess, observed live by Chess Watch — the date next to it is when that happened. Peaks from other games or IRL streams do not count here, and Twitch channels under 1,000 followers are excluded as likely view-botting. It is a record, not an average: the 7- and 30-day rankings on the main streamers page show current form.Which channels count as chess streamers?
Channels on Twitch, YouTube and Kick whose recent broadcasts are in the Chess category — official broadcasters such as Chess.com and chess24, co-streamers and creators who play on stream. A channel that moved to another game drops off the board until it streams chess again; Chinese platforms are not tracked.
