How we measure

Every figure on this site comes from observed stream data, not estimates: we continuously scan live chess broadcasts and aggregate peak viewers, average viewers, hours watched and air time per channel and per tournament. The full breakdown of sources, update frequency, metric definitions and limitations is on the methodology page.
