Mogul Chessboxing Championship recap: Ludwig sets new personal YouTube viewership record

Popular content creator Ludwig organized yet another unique event. The Mogul Chessboxing Championship was one of the year's most anticipated events by his fans, it took place yesterday at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. The event gathered some of the most popular content creators such as Andrea Botez, Myth, Disguised Toast, and others. These content creators battled each other in the ring, but also on the board.

Boxing events between influencers have been a huge success recently, but Chessboxing is an entirely different competition. In Chessboxing, the participant would play a round of chess and then a round of boxing. We also had Smashboxing, where contestants would play Smash in one round, and then test their skills in the ring in the next one. It made the contests much more interesting, since it could either be decided on the board or on the ring. The tournament also had two combats of Smashboxing, with the same format being applied. Ludwig was the main host, but he was joined by Chess, Smash, and Boxing experts, such as Matt Thomas, and Gotham Chess, which helped him commentate the action.

Players could win by KO, TKO, checkmate, resignation, expired time, or if their opponent was disqualified by the referee. If the fight went the distance, then boxing points would be used to determine the winner. In total, the event had seven Chessboxing combats, and two Smashboxing fights. All of them were very entertaining, and kept viewers on the edge of their seats.

Just like every professional boxing or MMA tournament, this event also had a Weight In. It happened one day before the main event, and gathered considerable attention. Up to 37.5K simultaneous viewers came together to watch the competitor's face off, and try to get under their opponent's skin before the match.

The tournament was a great success, and is yet another great and unique event organized by Ludwig. It gave fans of boxing and chess a way to watch their favorite sports like it never had been done before. The community was also very interested to see how the matches would unfold, and if their favorite streamers would emerge victorious.

All of this contributed to the Mogul Chessboxing Championship reaching 317K Peak Viewers, breaking Ludwig viewership record on YouTube. Fans watched the event for 1.4 million hours, and 252K Average Viewers tuned in to every single combat. Viewers also praised the event, with many saying they weren't fans of either sport, but still enjoyed the tournament. The event wasn’t only broadcasted in English, as it also had French & Spanish broadcasts. Of all of them, the English stream was the most popular one.

Ludwig PV increased by an astonishing 95%. Its previous record was 162K PV, and was reached on his “Dream face reveal” stream, which happened in October. If we take a look at the PV Ludwig achieved while on Twitch, which was 201K PV, we can see the Mogul Chessboxing Championship reached a much wider audience. This also proves that Ludwig popularity continued to increase, despite him changing platforms.

Ludwig and his colleagues hosting was top-notch: they managed to bring emotion to the fights, and did a great job of explaining everything that was going on. It made the fights more entertaining, and helped viewers that weren't very familiar with either boxing or chess have an easier time following the action.

Ludwig is always looking to create unique events, that will entertain fans and provide them with memorable moments. There are many reasons why he won the best content creator award. Being able to come up with amazing ideas, and execute them to perfection is one of those reasons. Not many streamers can organize events of this magnitude, but Ludwig has done it time and time again. He continues to push the barriers of content creation, and does all of this while entertaining thousands of fans from all around the world. The Mogul Chessboxing Championship was a huge success, and a second edition of the event is probably already in the making.
